Church and Convent of Saint Monica

 
About the church and convent of the Monica saint:
The church and the convent of the Monica saint are located beside the vault of the street Anthony and faces in north on Monte Santo. Sanctioned in the year 1598, this church had its bases thrown by the archbishop the DOM Frei Alexio de Menezes who was also the governor then of India Portuguese 1606. The building work of the church was accomplished in the 1627. The church and the convent of the Monica saint came to be known as a royal monastery of Santa Monica. Enough large to adapt more than 100 nuns and the widows, the church and the convent of the Monica saint, gave the shelter to the many ladies without hearth and saved anger of the company. Building of church:
